Photo guide
Which photos to take of a room, how many you need, and tips for a better report.
You need at least 3 photos and can add up to 8. More angles give FeelsRight more to work with, but 3 good photos are better than 8 rushed ones.
The angles
| Angle | What to capture |
|---|---|
| Wide, daylight | Stand in a corner and shoot the whole room in daylight. |
| Wide, lamps on | The same view in the evening with the lamps on. |
| Left wall | Face the left wall and capture it end to end. |
| Right wall | Face the right wall and capture it end to end. |
| Plants | Show any plants or greenery, or an empty spot where some could go. |
| Wall art and shelves | Pictures, shelves or anything on the walls. |
| Problem area | The spot that bothers you most. |
| Ceiling and floor | Tilt to show the ceiling, lights and the floor. |
If you only take 3 photos, start with the first two wide shots and the problem area.
Tips
- Hold the phone level, at about chest height.
- Do not use filters, portrait mode or heavy zoom.
- Turn off the flash.
- Keep people and pets out of the frame when you can.
- Retake a photo if it is blurry. You can replace photos before you submit.
